SWANCAR FARM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Shayne and Jake celebrated their wedding with a stunning ceremony in the Gallery at Swancar Farm Country House – a beautiful barn venue tucked away in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside at Trowell Moor.
The morning kicked off in the bridal suite, where Shayne and her bridesmaids, along with the flower girl and both mums, were getting ready in the cosy upstairs room. It was a lovely, laid-back start to the day, filled with laughter, a few happy tears, and a great atmosphere.
While the girls were having their finishing touches done, I popped over to see Jake, just in time to catch him opening a wedding morning card from Shayne – one of those simple but meaningful moments that always adds a personal touch to the story.
Once Shayne was in her dress, there was time for a first look with both her dad and stepdad – an emotional moment that definitely brought a few tears and plenty of hugs.
The ceremony itself was held upstairs in the Gallery – an intimate, light-filled space that creates the perfect atmosphere for a personal ceremony. Surrounded by their loved ones, Shayne and Jake exchanged heartfelt vows that everyone could hear and feel every word of.
After the all-important first kiss, they made their way back down the aisle to cheers and applause, before stepping outside into a flurry of confetti and hugs from their guests.
We took some relaxed family group shots while guests enjoyed the drinks, before heading into the Oak Hall for the wedding breakfast. Speeches followed after the meal, with Shayne’s dad and stepdad kicking things off, followed by Jake’s dad, the best man, and finally Jake himself with a heartfelt toast to Shayne.
As golden hour approached, we slipped away for a few portraits in the soft evening light around the grounds of Swancar. Then it was time to head back in for the first dance, and one of the liveliest dance floors I’ve seen this year – the perfect end to an incredible day.
