My approach to documentary wedding photography sets me apart from the countless other photographers out there.

With so many terms used to describe natural wedding photography, researching different styles can feel overwhelming. You might come across words like “reportage” or “documentary” photography—both of which describe my candid and unobtrusive style. I focus on capturing authentic, unscripted moments as they naturally unfold.

I believe a wedding photographer should enhance the day without disrupting its flow. A true documentary-style photographer blends into the background while still being close enough to capture the real emotions and interactions that make each wedding unique.

Of course, there’s always space for a few traditional family portraits! But for the majority of the day—about 95% of the time—I take a hands-off approach, observing rather than directing, ensuring I capture the genuine connections between family and friends that truly reflect the essence of your wedding day.
