Heath Farm Wedding Photographer | Bride and groom looking at each other after their wedding ceremony

Tom & Keeley tied the knot in a beautiful, relaxed outdoor wedding at Heath Farm – a stunning chateau-style wedding venue tucked away in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside. With elegant stone buildings, rolling fields, and a marquee set-up perfect for summer weddings, it was the ideal backdrop for a day full of love, laughter, and a few surprises.

I arrived in the morning to capture some of the prep – starting with Tom and the lads getting ready, then over to Keeley and her side of the morning. Their dog, Lenny, was very much involved from the get-go, chasing after the bride’s shoes and generally stealing the spotlight any time he got the chance.

Getting into the dress was calm and joyful, with Keeley’s mum and a close family friend helping her into it. A special moment came just after – revealing the dress to her dad, who was clearly blown away.

The ceremony took place outdoors, right at the front of the main farmhouse. The wind gave us a bit of a challenge at times, but the summer weather held, and the setting couldn’t have been better. It was a personal, meaningful humanist ceremony, and in a moment nobody will forget – Lenny the dog delivered the rings like an absolute pro.

Keeley walked down the aisle with her dad, while Tom couldn’t take his eyes off her. The ceremony included a couple of lovely readings from the best man, before the newlyweds sealed it with a kiss and walked back down the aisle to cheers and a big blast of confetti.

Drinks and canapés were served in the courtyard, with Tom & Keeley mingling, hugging, and catching up with their guests. Then came a surprise for Tom – a bagpiper from the Belvoir Estate appeared, full kilt and all, playing traditional tunes and leading everyone across to the marquee for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

Dinner was a relaxed sharing-style buffet to the tables – loads of amazing food and a really sociable vibe. Speeches kicked off with the Father of the Bride going through every single year of Keeley’s life (he had people laughing, crying, and checking their watches in the best way!). The best man followed with a perfectly pitched mix of warmth and roast – a real highlight of the day.

After the cake was cut and the first dance was done, the live band fired up and the dancefloor filled straight away. That energy didn’t dip all evening – just a brilliant mix of people up for celebrating, and a soundtrack that kept the place bouncing.

This was my first time shooting a wedding at Heath Farm in Lincolnshire, and it’s instantly gone on the list of favourites. The chateau-style setting gives the whole day a timeless, elegant feel, but still leaves plenty of space for couples to put their personality into the celebrations. It’s a dream venue for natural, relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography – and if you’re planning a humanist or outdoor ceremony with your dog in the mix, even better.
