THE RIVERSIDE GALLERY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Adele and Jess had to postpone their original wedding date in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, like so many couples, they had everything crossed that things would be better for their new date in 2021, thankfully it was and it was an epic day!
When Adele, Jess and me had a chat about their wedding plans, they said they couldn't decide who would get the photo coverage in the morning - typically, I would photograph the Bride getting ready, but I suggested that if we could get the timings right, then there is no reason why I can't capture both of them getting ready.... and so on the morning of the wedding I headed off to grab some images of Adele getting ready before heading off to see Jess.
Adele was getting ready at an Airbnb in Nottingham with a couple of her friends, it was a nice and relaxing morning with the family rocking up as the morning went on.
After Mum, Dad and sister had arrived, and Dad had made Adele a very stiff drink, it was time for me to head off to the other side of Nottingham to see how Jess was getting on.
When I arrived at Jess and Adele's house, Jess was having the final bits done to her hair and make-up.
Once done, Jess and her Mum went upstairs to get Jess into her wedding dress - another amazing wedding dress from the girls at the The Bridal Suite Nottingham.
The wedding ceremony was being held at Bridgford Hall, the registry office in West Bridgford, thankfully, the weather was with us on the day, I arrived as the wedding guests were chatting away in Bridgford Park.
Adele and Jess were going to walk down the aisle with their Dads, Adele was up first before Jess made everyone wait a few minutes to build up the tension!
The civil ceremony was a quick one; since the start of the pandemic, the registrars have been really quick in getting the legal bits done, and even though we had a couple of readings and poems, I think it was about 15 minutes from Adele and Jess walking down the aisle to them both walking back down the aisle as a married couple.
After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds headed outside, where everyone covered them with confetti.
My favourite part of a wedding is the 20-30 minutes after the ceremony when everyone wants to come and see the happy couple, I love capturing the emotions during this time, the hugs and the kisses - love it!
Once the handful of family formals was done, it was time to head off into West Bridgford to get on the waiting Red London Bus, which the girls had booked to take everyone over to the Brewhouse & Kitchen, the location for the wedding breakfast and the party.
I really enjoyed the wedding of Adele and Jess, such a loving couple who, on the day, left me just to do my thing - perfect.
