PHEASANTRY BREWERY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Sarah and Dan tied the knot in a beautiful, relaxed wedding at The Pheasantry Brewery – a unique countryside wedding venue tucked away in the heart of rural Nottinghamshire. With its converted barn, scenic surroundings, and laid-back charm, it was the perfect setting for a day full of love, laughter, and great energy.
The morning began in a nearby Airbnb, where Sarah got ready with her bridesmaids, flower girl, and both mums. The atmosphere was calm, emotional, and full of joy – a brilliant start to what would become a memorable day. I captured the morning in a candid, documentary style, focusing on all the natural moments and connections as they happened.
The ceremony took place in the light-filled Barn at The Pheasantry Brewery – an intimate and warm space that felt perfect for a personal and heartfelt exchange of vows. With all eyes on them, Sarah and Dan shared words that resonated with everyone present, before sealing it with a kiss and heading back down the aisle to a wave of applause.
After some relaxed group photos and a confetti moment outside, guests enjoyed drinks and garden games while we captured a few family shots. The wedding breakfast was held back in the Barn, followed by speeches from Dan’s dad, the couple themselves, and the best men – a great mix of humour, emotion, and celebration.
As golden hour arrived, we slipped away for some relaxed portraits around the grounds of The Pheasantry Brewery, using the warm evening light to create natural and timeless images. Then it was back inside for the first dance, followed by one of the most energetic dance floors I’ve seen all year – a perfect ending to a brilliant day.
This was my first visit back to The Pheasantry Brewery since they converted the Barn, and it’s now one of my favourite ceremony spaces in Nottinghamshire. Whether you’re planning an indoor ceremony or want a versatile space for your evening celebrations, it ticks all the boxes for couples wanting something a little different. It’s a fantastic venue for relaxed, candid, documentary-style wedding photography.

Pheasantry Brewery Wedding Venue Information:
The Pheasantry Brewery is an exclusive-use countryside wedding venue at High Brecks Farm, near East Markham in Nottinghamshire. Alongside outdoor ceremonies in the gardens, couples can get married inside the converted Barn – a light, characterful ceremony space that works brilliantly for relaxed weddings throughout the year.
I’ve photographed weddings at The Pheasantry using both ceremony options, and the converted Barn has become one of my favourite indoor ceremony spaces in Nottinghamshire. Having the Barn, gardens and surrounding countryside all close together also gives plenty of variety for photographs without taking couples away from their guests for long.
