HEMSWELL COURT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Cherie and George picked a stunning venue to get married at, Hemswell Court Wedding Venue in Lincolnshire.
The wedding day started for me with guests’ arrivals, and thankfully, the rain that we had been having throughout the summer of 2023 stayed away, and it was lovely to be able to capture people arriving without umbrellas in front of faces!
Hemswell Court has a few rooms where you can get married; Cherie and George went with the lovely sitting room, which is bathed in beautiful light from the big windows.
The ceremony was a quick one; no sooner had Cherie and her father walked down the aisle than Cherie and George were walking back down the aisle as a married couple.
One of my favourite parts of the wedding day is the confetti, and I always say to couples that if they are going to do confetti, then REALLY do confetti, get more than you think you need and then get some more!
The photo at the top of this blog post of Cherie and George getting covered in confetti is one of my favourite images from the day.
After a few family formals (to keep the parents happy), it was back inside for a wedding receiving line and then into the wedding breakfast and the all-important wedding speeches.
Cherie and George wanted the speeches to be nice and quick, with a strict 5 minutes per person and with the father of the bride up first, followed by George and then his brother; everyone kept to their five-minute limit, and we were done in just under 15 minutes.
The evening kicked off with the cake cut before the first dance (or the first shuffle, as I call it) and then into the daft dancing.
I enjoyed my first visit to Hemswell Court; it’s a lovely venue with character, and would high recommend Hemswell Court to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Lincolnshire.
