BROOKSBY HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
In this blog, we are off to Leicestershire for the wedding of Amy & Tom, who were married at St Michael & All Angels Church in the grounds of Brooksby Hall, so let’s jump in and have a look at some of my favourite wedding images from the day.
The morning of the wedding day started with Amy, her Daughter, and her Bridesmaids getting ready in the Justices Room inside Brooksby Hall, which was the venue for the afternoon and evening wedding celebrations.
The image above was taken in one of the quiet moments of the morning when it was just me and Amy in the room, I had seen this image in my head, but knew it would be one which I might have to wait for, I had a few attempts at this photo, but there was always someone else in the shot, but with some patience (and some luck) I managed to get this shot.
The image above of Tom waiting in the Church, its possibly my favourite ever ‘Groom Looking Nervous’ photo, I love that we have Amy’s Mum on the right smailing at his nerves, and Tom’s Mum can be seen smirking in the background as well, and then we have Tom who has a face of someone nervous, happy and knowing that in a few minutes, he is going to see Amy walking down the aisle.
The composition for this shot feels right, the Church really suits my colour edits, and all in - it’s right up there with one of my favourite all-time wedding photos.
Easily another of my favouirtes from the wedding ceremony inside St Michael & All Angels Church, the walk down the aisle of Amy and her Dad, such a special moment and a really nice photo.
The Wedding Ceremony inside St Michael & All Angels Church was one of the best ones I have been witness too, Revd David Harknett lead the service and I have nothing but praise for him and the fun and enjoyment he brung to the wedding ceremony and once the legals and the vows were done it was time for the first kiss!
The confetti shot, love this time at every wedding, the time where all the families and friends get to chuck things (confetti) at the newlywed’s, but this is sometimes brought with danger for me, especially when I’m walking backwards towards some steep steps!
After some mingling with their families and friends, it was time to head into Brooksby Hall for the wedding breakfast and the speeches
The evening kicked off with the cake cut and the first dance, which surprisingly went quite well for Tom, given most grooms look so uncomfortable swaying and dancing in front of people, but Tom nailed it and after the first dance, the live band kicked in, which got everyone up on the dancefloor.
BROOKSBY HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
So there we go, my first wedding at Brooksby Hall, and I loved it.
The St Michael & All Angels Church at Brooksby Hall is now one of my favourite Churches to photograph a wedding at, the Church is cozy, its not too big where the guests feel distant from the couple getting married, Revd David Harknett gave me such fantastic access at the Church, and you can see from the images in the gallery below, the access has had such a positive effect on the images.
