WILDES INNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Keri and Owen tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Wildes Inn, a stunning luxury hotel wedding venue in Nottinghamshire known for its modern spaces, picturesque grounds, and elegant garden weddings.
The day began with Keri and her mum getting ready in the contemporary bridal suite at Wildes Inn. The morning was calm and filled with intimate moments as they had their hair and makeup done in the bright, airy bathroom—arguably the best spot in the suite thanks to the natural light and private balcony. It was a dream setting for candid, relaxed wedding photography.
Once Keri was in her dress, we shared a quiet, emotional first look with her dad—one of those heartfelt moments that makes the day feel truly real. This one was especially touching, as Keri’s parents took a moment together to read a card she had written for them. This small but powerful moment perfectly exemplifies the kind of genuine, unscripted memories I love to capture with my documentary wedding photography approach.
With the first look done, we checked the weather, and thankfully the rain had passed, allowing the outdoor garden ceremony at Wildes Inn to proceed as planned.
The ceremony took place amidst the beautifully landscaped grounds of Wildes Inn, surrounded by family, friends, and soft summer light. Keri and Owen exchanged heartfelt vows that had everyone beaming before walking back down the aisle through a tunnel of bubbles and cheers.
Afterwards, we captured relaxed family group photos while guests enjoyed the drinks reception. The wedding breakfast and speeches followed, starting with Keri’s dad, then Owen, and finally Keri herself, who surprised everyone with a heartfelt speech that filled the room with smiles.
Keri and Owen planned a laid-back wedding day focused on natural, candid moments—and I think it’s safe to say we nailed it. Scroll down to see some of my favourite shots from their day.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at Wildes Inn, and it was a fantastic experience. The gardens offer the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony in Nottinghamshire, providing plenty of opportunities for relaxed, meaningful wedding photography. My only note would be that the hotel rooms are a little dark for morning prep photos, but thanks to the balcony and the natural light in the bathroom, it still worked beautifully for those early, intimate moments.
