Safina and James were married in front of their family and friends on a warm summers day at Swancar Farm in Nottingham.
SWANCAR FARM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
A QUIET MORNING (ALMOST)
The morning started for me with a few quiet minutes capturing Safina getting hair make-up done, I mention this as the rest of the morning would be loud and very busy!
THUMBS UP
After Safina had got into her wedding dress and once all the guests had arrived it was time for everyone to make their way into the new wedding ceremony room at Swancar Farm.
James was ready and now we all waited for Safina to make her way down from the Bridal suite to the Glass Barn for the wedding ceremony.
THE LOOK AND THE NERVES
I love capturing the looks between people, I love those moments that are so brief but gives you an insight into the relationships between people and the big thing from the wedding of Safina and James was just how much everyone meant to each other.
THE WALK WITH DAD
Everyone was in bits, the guests, the family and of course – James, as soon as he and Safina looked at each other he was gone.
For me when I’m capturing the Bride walking down that aisle, I make sure that I’m not interfering, that I’m not moving, not making a fuss – I want the couple to have their moment, to help do this I don’t have the camera to my eye, its kept low, its kept out the way so I blend in more and I’m not a distraction.
THE WEDDING CEREMONY
The Glass Barn at Swancar Farm is a beautiful room to get married in, with big gorgeous windows bathing the room in amazing dramatic light – it simply is a stunning civil wedding ceremony room.
The wedding ceremony was a very emotional one, you could sense the emotion in the room as soon as Safina and her Dad had walked down the aisle but as soon as the ceremony started the emotions went up another level, especially following the poem read by Jame’s sister, even I had to stop and compose myself.
THE WEDDING SPEECHES
The wedding speeches are such a big part of many weddings, the time where Dad gets to embarrass his daughter, when the stories from the stag do are told and a time to raise a toast to the family and friends no longer with us.
THE FIRST DANCE
Something I am always looking for during the wedding first dance is the guest reactions, I love it when people are watching the happy couple and not recording/watching it through their mobile phone….I love that the bridesmaids as there watching and taking it all in, being in the moment and enjoying their best friend’s first dance.
