SHOTTLE HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Rosie & Roan picked the fantastic Shottle Hall for their outdoor wedding ceremony, thankfully the rain stayed away until late in the evening, which meant everyone could enjoy the grounds and views around Shottle.
THE BRIDE AND BRIDESMAIDS
My day began with capturing Rosie and her bridesmaids getting ready at home. There’s something special about photographing those pre-wedding moments in a couple’s own space—you get glimpses into their life together, from the photos on the walls to the little trinkets they’ve collected over time. It all helps paint a picture of who they are as a couple.
With the August weather warm (but thankfully not scorching), the bridesmaids took to the garden to do their makeup, while Rosie got ready in a cozy garden room at the back of the house, surrounded by excitement and anticipation for the day ahead.
One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is when the people closest to the Bride get to see her for the first time in her wedding dress on the wedding day - I love the genuine reactions of everyone in the photo below!
WALKING DOWN THE AISLE AT SHOTTLE HALL
A father’s final walk with his daughter is always a deeply special moment, and for Rosie and her dad, the extended walk was especially meaningful—it gave them a chance to soak in the moment together.
Rosie had mentioned that Roan would likely get emotional, and she was absolutely right. The moment she and her father stepped into the doorway of the main house, the emotions hit, making for a truly heartfelt and unforgettable moment.
OUTDOOR WEDDING CEREMONY AT SHOTTLE HALL
The ceremony was brief because Rosie & Roan wanted to finish the legalities quickly. They aimed to spend the rest of the day cherishing moments with family and friends, celebrating their love and new life together.
CONFETTI AT SHOTTLE HALL
Rosie and Roan were determined to do their wedding their way, and that included their approach to the confetti photo. Instead of organizing a large group and moving everyone around, they chose to keep it simple—just their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The best part? With fewer people, there was plenty of confetti to go around, making for some truly spectacular and joyful confetti shots!
WEDDING SPEECHES AT SHOTTLE HALL
After an afternoon spent mingling and catching up with their guests, Rosie and Roan headed inside for the wedding breakfast and, of course, the much-anticipated speeches.
Rosie’s dad kicked things off, followed by Roan, before the best men took the stage. Their speech was packed with hilarious stories about Roan, much to the delight of everyone in the room!
THE FIRST DANCE AT SHOTTLE HALL
The evening kicked off with Rosie & Roan doing their first dance before the live band kicked in for one of my favourite dancefloors of this year.
“Andy did an amazing job at our wedding. Loved all of the photos and he really captured the essence of the day”
