NORWOOD PARK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Norwood Park Wedding Photography | Bride and groom looking at the registrar during their wedding ceremony at Norwood Park Wedding Venue

I love Norwood Park as a wedding venue; it has character, charm, and stunning rooms for the ceremony, the getting ready part of the day, and the wedding breakfast.

When Louise got in touch with me to photograph her wedding in a relaxed and natural way, it was a super easy decision to say yes!

THE BRIDE GETTING READY AT NORWOOD PARK

My day began with Louise and her morning crew getting ready in the orangery, right next to the wedding ceremony room. It was my first time shooting in this space, and it turned out to be a dream location—plenty of natural light for the hair and makeup artists to work their magic, and soft, flattering light that made for beautiful photos.

Meanwhile, Jamie was also getting ready at Norwood, in the Duke Suite. It was great to capture moments from both sides of the morning preparations, telling the full story of their wedding day from start to finish.

THE WEDDING DRESS DETAILS AND SHOES

At Norwood Park, it’s tradition for the bride to start getting ready in the Orangery before moving up to the Bridal Suite to step into her wedding dress. And what a dress Louise had chosen!

With the help of her mum and friends, she effortlessly slipped into her gown and wedding shoes with minimal fuss—leaving just enough time for a quick toast with her bridesmaids before the big moment

THE WEDDING CEREMONY

Louise and Jamie’s wedding ceremony took place in the Drawing Room—a spacious, light-filled setting with large windows that bathe both the bride and groom in the most beautiful natural light. Unlike some venues where big windows can create uneven lighting, Norwood’s location ensures the sun never directly hits the couple’s faces, making it a dream to photograph.

The ceremony began with a heartfelt moment as Louise walked down the aisle with her mum. One of my favorite images from the day captures the two of them sharing a special look just after reaching the front—a beautiful, unspoken connection.

Keeping things short and sweet, Louise and Jamie chose a simple ceremony so they could spend as much time as possible celebrating with their family and friends. Before they knew it, they were walking back down the aisle, hand in hand, as a newly married couple, ready to embrace the rest of their wedding day.

GETTING COVERED IN CONFETTI

Louise and Jamie did the confetti just right - they had loads of confetti for all their family and friends; if you are reading this and getting married, please make sure you have plenty of confetti, as it can make all the difference in your confetti wedding photos.

THE WEDDING SPEECHES

The wedding breakfast took place in the Gallery Room and kicked off with the speeches. First up was the mother of the bride, followed by Jamie, and finally, the best men—who made the most of their moment to share some old (and hilarious) stories about Jamie.

As you’ll see in the full gallery below, the speeches had everyone laughing—especially at Jamie’s expense! It was the perfect mix of heartfelt moments and good-natured embarrassment, making for some fantastic reactions and unforgettable memories.

A QUICK PORTRAIT AT THE GRECIAN TEMPLE

Louise and Jamie wanted just a few portrait shots, which is exactly how I like it—I truly believe couples should spend more time with their family and friends rather than their photographer. For me, if a couple wants portraits, that’s great, but it only takes 10-15 minutes to capture some beautiful shots without taking them away from their celebrations for too long.

Norwood Park offers plenty of stunning backdrops for portraits, but I had my eye on the Grecian Temple perched on the hill near the venue. After checking in with the couple to make sure they were happy with the location, we timed it just right—catching the warm, golden light as the sun began to dip, creating some truly magical sunset portraits.

THE FIRST DANCE

The first dance at Norwood Park takes place in the Marquee Room, right next to the Gallery Room. It’s the perfect spot—spacious enough for everyone to get a great view of the couple’s first dance (or as I like to call it, the first shuffle!).

Once Louise and Jamie had their moment on the dance floor, the evening truly kicked off—with Jamie leading the way with some very questionable dance moves! It made for some fantastic and hilarious moments, setting the tone for a night full of laughter and celebration.

SOME KIND WORDS FROM LOUISE & JAMIE
