NORMANTON CHURCH, RUTLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I remember the first time I saw Normanton Church whilst on a walk with the Gaffer around Rutland Water; I said to her that I would LOVE to photograph a wedding there!
Just the 5 years later… I was there to capture the small and intimate wedding of Vicky and Richard.
Vicky and Richard were married in July 2022 during one of the driest times on record, Rutland Waters is normally full to bursting even during the summer months, but 2022 was one of the driest years on record and you can see from the first image in the gallery below, the water was very low, it would normally be half way up the bank.
When Vicky and Richard got in touch with me, they said that they wanted their wedding ceremony at Normanton Church and their wedding reception at Normanton Park Hotel to be captured by a photographer who would allow them to enjoy their day and spend time with their family and friends and not be dragged away to do endless family and couples pictures - well they found their perfect photographer in me!
Vicky and Richard’s wedding ceremony at Normanton Church was an emotional one and at one point I had to hide behind my camera as it got to me as well.
Once the legals were done and they were announced as the new Mr and Mrs, it was time for the walk back down the aisle as a newly married couple.
