GOOSEDALE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
LET'S TALK COVID RESTRICTIONS
I cannot wait to do a wedding photography blog post and not mention the word's COVID and RESTRICTIONS in the same sentence!
Bryony and Clint were married at a time when the restrictions allowed 15 wedding guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, face masks had to be worn during the wedding ceremony, except for the Bride and Groom, and people had to try their best to maintain a social gap.
With that out the way, let's look back at the Goosedale wedding of Bryony and Clint.
GOOSEDALE WEDDING VENUE PHOTOS
Goosedale is a great place to get married, the Crystal Room is beautiful and always dressed well. The views of the rolling hills of Nottingham surround the venue and make for a great backdrop to some summer games or something to take in whilst people walk around the lovely gardens.
BRIDE AND FRIENDS GETTING READY
Bryony and her friends were getting ready at the Goosedale lodges which are situated next to the main wedding venue, this is the first time I have seen the lodges and I have to say they are lovely.
By the time I arrived, Bryony was having her make-up done, whilst a few of her friends were milling around enjoying a little drink of bubbly before the wedding.
THE WEDDING DRESS
It's not often on the morning of a wedding that I see the Bride steaming her wedding dress, but Bryony, with the steamer in hand, was making sure that every little crease was taken out of the wedding dress and once she was happy, it was time to get the wedding dress on with a little help from her mum.
THE RULE OF 15
With the rule of 15 in effect at the wedding, Bryony and Goosedale devised a cunning plan to allow some of her friends to see the wedding ceremony without being in the room - opening the double doors in the Crystal Room.
WALKING DOWN THE AISLE
First up, walking down the aisle, was the kids, followed by Bryony and her Dad.
GOOSEDALE WEDDING CEREMONY
With the Covid restrictions, the wedding ceremony was a short one - just the legal bits done; no readings or special vows and no sooner had Bryony walked down the aisle with her Dad, than she was walking down the aisle with Clint as Husband and Wife.
CHECKING THE BESTMAN'S SPEECH
With the post-ceremony celebration done and the food eaten, it was time for the wedding speeches; but not before Bryony had checked and double-checked that the Best Man's speech was appropriate with the kids around ... all was good and the speeches could go ahead!
THE FIRST DANCE
During the time that weddings have been restricted, wedding first dance's have many been taking place outside where there is plenty of space and people can watch from a distance. Still, with Goosedale having two rooms for the wedding reception, there was enough space for Bryone and Clint to have their first dance indoors, away from the wind and rain!
