BREDENBURY COURT BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | Bride and groom dancing during the first dance at the BREDENBURY COURT BARNS WEDDING

Chloe & Ryan celebrated their wedding at Bredenbury Court Barns, a beautiful barn wedding venue set in the Herefordshire countryside. I was with them for ten hours, from the morning preparations right through to sparklers on the South Lawn, capturing the day in my usual relaxed, documentary style.

The morning started with Chloe and her bridesmaids getting ready in the dedicated bridal suite. It’s a brilliant space for wedding prep, with plenty of room and a huge mirror that gave me some interesting angles to work with. Chloe’s mum helped her into her dress before we had a lovely first look with her dad, followed by another with the bridesmaids outside in the courtyard.

Ryan was busy welcoming guests before everyone headed into The Orangery for the ceremony. Chloe & Ryan chose a humanist wedding ceremony, led by a celebrant and made much more personal to them as a couple. Their children were involved too, which created plenty of lovely moments throughout.

The bridesmaids made their way down the aisle first, followed by Chloe and her dad. After the ceremony, everyone stayed inside The Orangery for confetti as Chloe & Ryan walked back down the aisle as newlyweds.

Guests headed to the Atrium Bar for drinks while Chloe & Ryan took a few minutes for themselves. We then photographed a handful of family groups in front of the Manor House, followed by around ten minutes of relaxed couple portraits around the venue before heading into the Oak Barn for the wedding breakfast.

The speeches brought plenty of laughs, including some brilliant stories from their university days, before everyone headed back outside to enjoy the warm evening and a few games.

As evening arrived, Chloe & Ryan returned to the Oak Barn for their first dance and the dancefloor quickly filled. After plenty of dancing, we finished the day outside with sparklers on the South Lawn – a great ending to a brilliant Bredenbury Court Barns wedding.

This was my first time photographing a wedding at Bredenbury Court Barns, and it’s a venue that works incredibly well for relaxed wedding photography. Everything flows naturally from one part of the day to the next, while the barns, Manor House and surrounding Herefordshire countryside give you plenty of variety without disappearing for ages to take photographs.

Chloe & Ryan’s wedding was exactly the sort of day I love documenting – personal, relaxed and full of genuine moments, with very little need to interrupt the celebrations or turn their wedding into a photoshoot.

BREDENBURY COURT BARNS WEDDING VENUE INFORMATION

Bredenbury Court Barns is an exclusive-use countryside wedding venue near Bromyard in Herefordshire, set within 29 acres of grounds with views across the surrounding countryside. Weddings take place across several connected spaces, including the light-filled Orangery for ceremonies, the Atrium and Sun Terrace for drinks, and the Oak Barn for wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations.

For Chloe & Ryan’s wedding, their humanist ceremony took place in the Orangery before guests moved into the Atrium for drinks. Their wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the Oak Barn, with everyone making the most of the grounds during the warm evening before we finished the day with sparklers on the South Lawn.

From a photography point of view, one of the things I really liked about Bredenbury Court Barns was how naturally the day flowed between the different spaces. The barns, Manor House and surrounding Herefordshire countryside give plenty of variety for photographs without needing to take couples away from their guests for long.
