WINSTANLEY HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Gemma and Scott had plans for their wedding ceremony to be outside under the beautiful oak tree in the grounds of Winstanley House, all week we were checking the weather, the forecast looked like rain, then it looked a bit windy and then the day before – perfect weather was predicted; the wedding would be outside!
My morning started with the girls having their hair and make-up done in one of the beautifully light bedrooms on the second floor. With the light beaming in, it wasn’t long until the air-conditioning was on full blast. Gemma’s wedding day morning was calm, and I do mean calm – no fuss, no mess with everything done in plenty of time, there was even a few minutes to kick back and chill out on the sofa.
Scott arrived with his Best Man and Groomsmen and with a beer in hand and the sun shining they chilled in the beer garden until the wedding guest arrived – which for Scott wasn’t long enough for him to finish his drink.
Once everyone was directed to their seats it was time for the nerves to kick in for Scott!
The walk to the ceremony for Gemma and her Dad was a long one and once her girls had walked down the aisle it was time for that special moment for all Dad’s – the final walk with his daughter before getting married.
The outdoor ceremony was beautifully done with the registrar taking her time to make sure that Scott and Gemma got all the legal bits done in the right order and after the Best Man had done the old ‘I forgot the rings’ gag; it was time to exchange the rings and the first kiss!
The wedding breakfast was in the new section of Winstanley House and because the weather was behaving itself, people were milling between their food tables and the outside garden until it was time for the speeches.
The speeches were Gemma’s Dad, Scott’s brother (Best Man) and finally the Groom. All of the speeches were sound recorded for Gemma and Scott as part of their wedding photofilm (below) – it’s amazing to be able to listen back to the speeches; a wedding day is all go it can all be too much to take in.
In the photofilm below, you will hear parts of the speeches given by Gemma’s Dad and by Scott.
The evening celebrations kicked off with the cake cut and first dance before the disco got properly going!
I really enjoyed the wedding of Gemma and Scott, two down to earth people who are going to enjoy the rest of their lives together – congratulations guys!

SOME KIND WORDS FROM GEMMA AND SCOTT
“Andy was brilliant from start to finish. When we made our initial enquiries he spoke with us over the phone to discuss what we wanted and instantly put us at ease. He then made regular contact with us right up to the wedding itself offering helpful advice. Andy blended in well and all of our family thought he was brilliant. On the day he was polite and helpful. We are so happy with our photos and have some lovely ones that we will treasure. Overall, we feel we made a perfect choice choosing Andy to photograph our wedding. We would absolutely recommend him! Thank you again”
