WINSTANLEY HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Gemma and Scott had plans for their wedding ceremony to be outside under the beautiful oak tree in the grounds of Winstanley House, all week we were checking the weather, the forecast looked like rain, then it looked a bit windy and then the day before - perfect weather was predicted; the wedding would be outside!
My morning started with the girls having their hair and make-up done in one of the beautifully light bedrooms on the second floor. With the light beaming in, it wasn't long until the air-conditioning was on full blast. Gemma's wedding day morning was calm, and I do mean calm - no fuss, no mess with everything done in plenty of time, there was even a few minutes to kick back and chill out on the sofa.
Scott arrived with his Best Man and Groomsmen and with a beer in hand and the sun shining they chilled in the beer garden until the wedding guest arrived - which for Scott wasn't long enough for him to finish his drink.
Once everyone was directed to their seats it was time for the nerves to kick in for Scott!
The walk to the ceremony for Gemma and her Dad was a long one and once her girls had walked down the aisle it was time for that special moment for all Dads - the final walk with his daughter before getting married.
The outdoor ceremony was beautifully done, with the registrar taking her time to make sure that Scott and Gemma got all the legal bits done in the right order, and after the Best Man had done the old 'I forgot the rings' gag; it was time to exchange the rings and the first kiss!
The wedding breakfast was in the new section of Winstanley House, and because the weather was behaving, people were milling between their food tables and the outside garden until it was time for the speeches.
The speeches were from Gemma's Dad, Scott's brother (Best Man) and finally, the Groom.
All speeches were sound recorded for Gemma and Scott as part of their wedding photofilm - it's amazing to be able to listen back to the speeches; a wedding day is all go; it can all be too much to take in.
The evening celebrations kicked off with the cake cut and the first dance before the disco got properly going!
