THE WOODMAN INN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Welcome to a new wedding blog here on the HQ web-site, and for this wedding, I got to travel up to one of my favorite parts of the country - Yorkshire, a place I know very well from all my hikes and walks over the years.
Freya and Will found and booked me because they wanted their wedding day to be about their family and friends all coming together to celebrate their wedding day, they wanted four family formal photos and only one of themselves, they wanted to spend as much time with their family and friends - another perfect wedding for me!
My days started with the girls getting ready in the newly refurbished Thunderbridge Suite, a small cottage a few steps away from the Woodman Inn and the Garden Room, the location for the wedding ceremony.
When I arrived, the morning prep was in full swing with Five Bridesmaids, two MuAs, Mum, and Me all trying to find space in the cottage - it made for some very close photos.
It wasn’t long until Freya was getting into her wedding dress on the top floor of the cottage with the help of Mum. It took only a few minutes before she headed back downstairs for the reveal with the bridesmaids.
The wedding ceremony was a quick one; they all seemed to be at the moment, but the guys went with a simple civil wedding ceremony - no readings, no extra vows, just straight to the point, no messing!
After the wedding ceremony, it was time for mingling and seeing their family and friends, I love this part of a wedding day, it might even be my favourite part of the day, the time when everyone wants to come and see the newly married couple, its the hugs and kisses that make it for me!
After the four family formals and one photo of the guys in the woodland near the garden room, it was time for the wedding breakfast and the all-important wedding speeches.
First up was Freya’s dad, and with the overhead projector set-up, you knew it was going to be an embarrassing time for either Freya or Will; as it turns out, it was Will as the projector was showing all the photos of Will growing up, with some questionable hair and fashion choices on show.
Next up was Will, who kept his wedding speech nice and simple, and then finally, it was time for the best man’s speech, and yet again, it was to be an embarrassing time for Will.
The evening kicked off with the first dance before everyone piling on the dance floor for the disco and I have to say it was one of the best dance floor’s I have seen in a very long time - the Yorkshire lot know how to party!

I loved being back in Yorkshire, and I loved the wedding of Freya and Will, all our chats before the wedding were centered around them enjoying their wedding day and not wanting to be posed or told what to do, and the result of their wedding gallery shows this and how much fun everyone had.
