SUTTON BONINGTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Lorna and Tom got in touch with me 18 months before their wedding; they wanted a photographer who would let them enjoy their wedding day without the fear of being pressured into doing formal photography.
Lorna and Tom wanted one of my stop-motion films, which can be seen by clicking on the 'Films' tab in the menu and selecting 'Stop Motion'.
The day started for me at Beeston Parish Church, Lorna didn’t want any morning photo coverage; she wanted to have the morning to herself.
Not long after I arrived, Tom made his way through the Church grounds handing out the order of service booklets to the Bridesmaids, who would then be responsible for handing them out to the arriving wedding guests.
Lorna arrived in an open-top VW Beetle with her Dad and was a little earlier than planned, and as seen in the gallery below, a few of the guests tried to hide their gaze from seeing Lorna in her wedding dress.
The wedding ceremony was a special one for Lorna and Tom, with two very special readings from two of their closest friends, including a gift of a selfie camera.
Once the legals were done and the wedding contract signed by the two witnesses, it was time for the couple to walk down the aisle as a married couple and to spend some time meeting their wedding guests before heading off to Sutton Bonington Hall for the wedding reception.
Lorna and Tom had a few surprises for their wedding guests over at Sutton Bonington Hall; first up was the garden games (which is always a winner when the weather is good) and then for entertainment during the wedding breakfast, Lorna and Tom had set-up a game of Taskmaster which is a favourite TV Show of theirs.
After the Wedding Breakfast, we all headed outside for some fresh air and the speeches.
First up was Lorna’s Dad, then Tom’s best friend and finally, Tom.
The evening started with some photo booth fun before the silent disco kicked off the evening, good and proper.
Silent disco’s were popular during covid restricted weddings as couples were not allowed to have a DJ, so one way around this was a silent disco where people could listen to music through headphones. It is a surreal experience seeing people dancing and not hearing the music; the only sounds you hear are people singing and the feet tapping on the floor!
SOME KIND WORDS FROM LORNA & TOM
