SHOTTLE HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Lynne and Lewis picked a fantastic venue for their outdoor wedding ceremony, and with the sun out all day, it was picture-perfect!
The day started for me, capturing Lynne and her girls getting ready for the outdoor wedding ceremony, which was to be held in the gardens of Shottle Hall.
Once the hair and make-up was done, it was time for her Bridesmaid to help Lynne get into her wedding dress.
One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is when the father of the bride gets to see his daughter in her wedding dress; sometimes it can feel a bit staged and too much pressure put on the moment from family members, but sometimes its magic and the reactions are genuine and make for some great images.
I think the following picture is my favourite from the wedding of Lynne and Lewis, the moment when Lynne and her Dad appear from the main door, which leads down to the garden.
I knew what I wanted from this picture; I wanted them both in the door, I wanted Shottle Hall to play a big part, and I wanted Lewis to be in the foreground - now it's all well and good wanting all this, but getting it all is about planning and also luck, and for once, luck was on my side.
Once the wedding ceremony was done, it was time for everyone to gather at the front of Shottle Hall for the 'chuck things at the Bride and Groom' part of the wedding!
After Lynne and Lewis had spent the afternoon chatting and catching up with their wedding guests, it was time for the wedding breakfast and the all-important wedding speeches.
Lynne's dad was up first, followed by Lewis and then finally the best man, and for once, the best man did something I have never seen at a wedding and that was to pull a gun on the Bride and Groom... thankfully a toy one!
After the speeches, Lewis and Lynne took a walk around Shottle Hall, taking it all as a wedding day can go so fast.
After the little walk, it was time for the cake to be cut and then the first dance.
