Elizabeth and Mark were married in front of their family and friends at Newstead Abbey.
NEWSTEAD ABBEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
A QUIET MORNING
The morning started for me with a little trip to Ruddington where Elizabeth and her sister were getting ready.
Elizabeth didn’t want much coverage in the morning as there was only going to be a couple of people milling around, but I knew if a sister was going to be there, we should get some nice pictures of the dress going on and hopefully some emotional reactions as well.
A PEEPING MUM
Just before Elizabeth was due to set off and head over to Newstead Abbey, Mum and Dad rocked up – first up was Mum who popped her head around the door to get a little glimpse of Elizabeth in her wedding dress.
THE WEDDING CAR
There was only one car that Elizabeth wanted to arrive at the wedding in and that was her Dad’s pride and joy – the red 911, an absolutely stunning car that was in immaculate condition.
THE FIRST LOOK
Elizabeth and Mark wanted to walk down the aisle together, they didn’t want to have the traditional Dad giving the Bride away, the guys also wanted to have a little moment before the ceremony where they got to see each other before, have a little moment and take it all in.
THE WEDDING CEREMONY
The Orangery at Newstead Abbey is a beautiful room to get married in, with views out into the Spanish garden and big gorgeous original windows bathing the room in amazing dramatic light – it simply is a stunning civil wedding ceremony room.
The wedding ceremony was an emotional one, with sisters from Mark and Elizabeth doing readings along with beautifully written promises.

GETTING COVERED IN CONFETTI
I love the confetti run, I love the excitement from the wedding guests and I love the look on the faces of the Bride and Groom as they get pelted from close range with confetti!
The gardens at Newstead Abbey are perfect for confetti, no matter where you turn the backdrop is stunning.
A KISS FROM DAD
I love this picture, so much so it’s in my portfolio from 2021; it’s the look on Elizabeth’s face that makes this picture, the look of slight embarrassment of being kissed by your dad in public – love it!
THE WEDDING SPEECHES
The wedding speeches are such a big part of many weddings, the time where Dad gets to embarrass his daughter, when the stories from the stag do are told and a time to raise a toast to the family and friends no longer with us.
SOME KIND WORDS FROM ELIZABETH & MARK
Andy is an exceptional photographer. He was able to capture our wedding in the most natural way with photographs that truly tell the story. On top of this he contributed significantly to the smooth running of the day. Others have mentioned his professionalism and this is very true, all logistics and details were discussed in depth. Moreover, Andy helped us feel relaxed and that enabled us to be all the more present for our wedding day – safe in the knowledge that Andy was capturing it for us to relive at a later date. Thank you so much Andy Elizabeth & Mark
