DODDINGTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Aimee and Sam had a long wait for their wedding day due to COVID. The original date of May 2020 would have been under restrictions, and although it was a difficult decision to postpone, they made the right call and the wait for their special day was worth it.
I love capturing both sides of the wedding getting ready, I love the contrast of the guys with the loud music and the drink vs the girls sipping on champagne and chatting about their dream weddings.
The long room at Doddington Hall is stunning; the light coming through the big windows, the unique wooden floor, and the artwork and antiques which adorns the walls, but the main thing I love about the room is the length of the room.
Because the room is so long, it makes for an epic entrance, and once the Bridesmaids had made their way down and found their seats, Aimee and her Dad made their entrance.
The wedding ceremony was beautifully done and a very personal one as the registrar was a close family friend of both Aimee and Sam. The lighting again in the Longroom made for a set of stunning wedding ceremony pictures.
Once the wedding ceremony was done and the couple covered in confetti, it was time to head over to The Coach house for the wedding speeches.
The Coach House has been converted into an amazing space, a surprising space as the front of the Coach House gives nothing away about what lurks behind the imposing door.
First up was Dad with his wedding speech. Sam, the groom, and finally, the best men.
After the speeches and the wedding breakfast, it was outside to cut the cake. It’s fantastic when we get to cut the cake outside rather than inside, as often the venue has the cake pressed against a wall which makes for an awkward cake cut.
With the room packed and the band playing the first dance song, it was time for Aimme and Sam to dance their first dance, and after some crazy dancing from the guests, it was time to pop outside for the sparkler exit; a perfect end to a brilliant wedding.
