Aimee & Sam Were Married In Infront Of Their Family & Friends At The Stunning Doddington Hall & Gardens Wedding Venue | Relaxed Wedding Photography | SaywellHQ
DODDINGTON HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
This was my first visit to Doddington Hall & Gardens for a wedding; it’s a place me and the Gaffer have visited to have a wander and nosy around, but never for a wedding, and I’m pleased to say that I absolutely loved it!
Aimee and Sam had a long wait for their wedding day due to COVID. The original date of May 2020 would have been under restrictions, and although it was a difficult decision to postpone, they made the right call and the wait for their special day was worth it.
THE MORNING AND THE DRESS
I love capturing both sides of the wedding getting ready, I love the contrast of the guys with the loud music and the drink vs the girls sipping on champagne and chatting about their dream weddings.
WALKING DOWN THE AISLE WITH DAD
The long room at Doddington Hall is stunning; the light coming through the big windows, the unique wooden floor, and the artwork and antiques which adorns the walls, but the main thing I love about the room is the length of the room. Because the room is so long, it makes for an epic entrance, and once the Bridesmaids had made their way down and found their seats, Aimee and her Dad made their entrance.
EXCHANGE OF RINGS IN THE LONG ROOM
The wedding ceremony was beautifully done and a very personal one as the registrar was a close family friend of both Aimee and Sam. The lighting again in the Longroom made for a set of stunning wedding ceremony pictures.
WEDDING SPEECHES IN THE COACH HOUSE
Once the wedding ceremony was done and the couple covered in confetti, it was time to head over to The Coach house for the wedding speeches. The Coach House has been converted into an amazing space, a surprising space as the front of the Coach House gives nothing away about what lurks behind the imposing door.
First up was Dad with his wedding speech. Sam, the groom, and finally, the best men.
CAKE CUTTING IN THE WALLED GARDEN
After the speeches and the wedding breakfast, it was outside to cut the cake. It’s fantastic when we get to cut the cake outside rather than inside, as often the venue has the cake pressed against a wall which makes for an awkward cake cut.
THE FIRST DANCE AND A SPARKLER EXIT
With the room packed and the band playing the first dance song, it was time for Aimme and Sam to dance their first dance, and after some crazy dancing from the guests, it was time to pop outside for the sparkler exit; a perfect end to a brilliant wedding.
WEDDING HYBRID PHOTOFILM
Such a unique wedding photofilm; I love creating and capturing these for my couples, mixing the stills, video and sounds of the day, into a single hybrid photofilm.

SOME KIND WORDS FROM AIMEE & SAM
Andy did the photos for our special day and we couldn’t have been happier with the results! They were absolutely perfect. We had actually booked Andy for May 2021, but COVID meant we were forced to postpone until May 2022. Through that whole stressful process he was great, and there were no issues moving things and talking it all over. When I booked Andy I knew he was the photographer for us. Even just the introductory call I had with him made me know I was talking to the right guy! He went into detail around everything, and took a lot of the stress away. On the big day he arrived nice and early to shoot some shots of the venue before starting with the Bridal Party and then the Groomsmen. The shots of the ceremony itself were amazing. We paid extra to have a videographer to record the keys bits of our day – for which Andy turns into an incredible photo film that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. If you can afford this we highly recommend it – it is priceless! Andy snuck me and my new wife (woo!) off to do a private little shoot around the grounds of our venue. We never tend to have close photos like this, but they were really special. Andy seamlessly moved around the wedding, through the day and into the night, taking candid (and some posey!) photos. We were worried that it would feel full on being photographed all the time, but it never once came into our minds on the day. Thank you Andy for helping us to savour the memories of the best day of our lives. Sam & Aimee xAimee & Sam
